H-1B to make big changes in visa, will impact on Indian IT companies

The United States can soon change the H1-B visa policy. The impact of this change will be on the Indian people working in America. This will affect Indian IT companies as well, affecting small and medium-sized companies on contract from Indian-American people. The Trump Administration has sent a proposal to change the definition of certain occupations under this visa. Apart from this, changes will also be made in ‘Foreign Work Visa Category’. It is quite popular in Indian companies. Indian companies will be affected by this change. These proposals will be made till January 2019. On Wednesday, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said that the definition of special professions will be redefined so that talented people can be taken under the H-1B visa.

Earlier, a group representing more than one thousand small companies of IT sector had filed lawsuit against America’s immigrant agency. This lawsuit was done to issue H-1B visas for less than three years. Actually, H-1B visas are normally issued for three years from six years to six years. Under this visa, US companies employ foreign workers for special work of expertise. This is the second case of ITServ against the American Immigration Agency. DHS said that through this proposal employment and employer-employee relations will be redefined so that the interests of American workers can be protected. DHS said that it is finalizing the Interim Regulatory Governing Petition filed by foreigners, under which the H-1B visa applies to non-immigrant categories. Primarily, the US wants to make such a process through which the best of the professionals coming out from outside will be allowed to stay there and work.
